International Plan Degree Designator
The International Plan was a new initiative launched in 2005 to offer a challenging academic program that develops international competence within the context of your major. Companies are increasingly looking to hire students who understand the global economy and international relations are able to function effectively in multi-national work environments, can assimilate comfortably into different world cultures, and know how their discipline is practiced in an international context. While many students gain some exposure to these aspects of today's world through traditional international opportunities such as study abroad and international internships, the International Plan is designed to develop a deeper level of competency in these areas both generally and within the context of your major.
