Students pursue minor and/or certificate programs to broaden knowledge of non-major disciplines, develop skills around an area of interest, and expand potential for success in their chosen endeavors.
It is not necessary to select a minor during your first semester at Georgia Tech. Explore your options and consult your advisor(s). All minor programs require between 15 to 18 hours of course work with at least 12 hours at the 3000 level or higher. Consult an advisor in the department offering the minor to plan the appropriate courses and ensure you meet requirements. Minors are posted on your final grades transcript.
