Sigrid Schmalzer, professor of history at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, will share her research project on useful insights and shortcomings of Maoist class-based epistemology of knowledge production titled "Head-and-Hand, Class-and-Culture: Knowledge Production in Mao-Era China and Beyond." Registered attendees will receive a draft of the paper to participate in the conversation.
