Dr. Kirk Bowman joined the Georgia Tech faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs in 1998 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2004. Jennifer Clark is an Associate Professor at the School of Public Policy. Her research focuses on regional economic development, manufacturing, industry clusters and innovation. Dr. Kelly Comfort received her PhD in Comparative Literature with a designated emphasis in Critical Theory from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Usha C. Nair-Reichert holds a PhD in Economics from Purdue University. She joined the School of Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology in August 2007. Jenny Leigh Smith is a historian of technology and the environment. Her area of regional focus is the Soviet Union. She is revising a book manuscript about the industrialization of agriculture in the Soviet Union. Her new work focuses on Soviet international development projects during the Cold War.
