Congratulations to Alice Clifton, a doctoral student in the History and Sociology of Technology and Science graduate program in the School of History and Sociology, has received the 2016 Award for Excellence in Student Research Using Historical Records. The award is given by the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council, the state's advisory board to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia with respect to the Georgia Archives and historical records throughout the state.
Seymour E. Goodman has been appointed Regents Professor by the University System of Georgia (USG) Board of Regents. The title is the highest academic research recognition bestowed by USG. A professor of international affairs and computing in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs in the Georgia Tech Ivan Allen College, this recognition comes on the heels of Goodman’s appointment as a National Associate of the National Research Council (NRC).
