I have been very interested in film and video games since middle school. I believe that they are the intersection between technology and art. I aim to understand the science of both film and video game creation so that I can use both as my mediums for my passion of storytelling.
Broadly, I would like to use my talents to tell stories. More recently, I have discovered my passion for teaching. I can see myself not only being a creator but also a teacher or professor. Other than teaching, I would really like to have an independent studio and create my own content.

I am involved in Tech FX (TFX) as the vice president where I lead tutorials on after effects. One project I was involved with was creating the special effects for a clip of a spaceship landing on Tech Green! I love helping others play with special effects software to achieve their goals.
Currently I am a project lead and the vice president for VGDev. VGDev is Georgia Tech’s video game development club. The club is made up of 6 - 7 teams that have one semester to complete a video game. Through my project lead role in VGDev each semester, I am tasked with leading and directing the creation for my group’s video game. As vice president I am responsible for guiding and providing resources for the other project leads.
...like one of the games I developed through VGDev. The game concept stemmed from a conversation that I had with someone I met the first Friday of my freshman year. The concept was HUGE — something that no college student would be able to create — but we embarked on developing the idea our freshman year. We decided to take the project to VGDev where we would have one semester to complete the game; in the end we didn’t achieve our goal, but what we did achieve pushed our limits and helped us to learn more. We invested huge amounts of time in the project, and we are proud of our final product. It was bigger than anything I had done previously. I learned more in that one semester working on that one game than working on anything else in my life.

A hobby that I have outside of class is the creation of original content on YouTube. My roommate and I write and film our own comedic pieces and use volunteer actors. We also participate in the Campus Movie Fest, where we have been two time top finishers! Our Campus Movie Fest entry from last year was featured on in-flight entertainment for Virgin Airlines!
Currently, I am co-oping with Cartoon Network in quality assurance. It is my responsibility to test video games for their quality. I am also in a lead role through my position, and I am in charge of the interns in the department. This managerial role has taught me about time management and what it’s like to work in a full-time position. Working with cartoon network is great — all of my coworkers are unique and in some way “cartoonish!”
Find something bigger than yourself to be interested in. Find something you love, and you’ll never be bored. My freshman year I joined a lot of clubs and organizations. I found myself dropping the ones that I was less passionate about, but my involvement with these clubs made me feel like my time was well spent. These experiences were not only fun, but allowed me to build new and lasting impressions on the Georgia Tech community.
