The Enduring Legacy of Ivan Allen Jr.

"Ivan Allen College is unique in its mission to understand the impact of technology on society." - Sue V. Rosser, Dean of Ivan Allen College

Today, Georgia Tech's campus occupies 400 acres in the heart of the city of Atlanta. Although best known for its engineering and science programs, Georgia Tech also offers degrees in architecture, management, computing, the sciences, and the liberal arts. Named in honor of Ivan Allen Jr. in 1990, the liberal arts college at Georgia Tech has since emerged as a center of learning and innovation, providing a forum to extend the liberal arts into new fields that address the complex relationship between technology and society. Always seeking new opportunities in a climate of rapid change, the faculty and students of Ivan Allen College embrace the spirit of its founder in helping Georgia Tech to educate future leaders and define the technological university of the twenty-first century.
