Marilyn Brown

Brown served for 8 years as a regulator of the nation’s largest public power provider, was a co-recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for her work on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Working Group III Assessment Report on Mitigation of Climate Change, and is the author of six books on sustainable energy including the forthcoming book Empowering the Great Energy Transition. She is one of the nation’s foremost experts on climate change policy and policies to help accelerate the transition to a sustainable, green-energy economy.

She can comment on a wide range of climate change and energy policy related stories, including domestic climate change policies, international climate change policies, renewable energy policies, including solar, wind, and nuclear power, energy security, and issues related to fossil fuels. She also can also discuss issues related to “smart grids,” electricity pricing and rate tariffs, and the use of grid-integrated electric vehicles.
