Biography
McDonald, director of the Sports, Society and Technology Program, is one of the leading figures in the sociology of sport. McDonald’s research focuses on American culture and sport including issues of gender, race, class, sexuality, and inequality in sport.
Examples of stories McDonald could comment on include , Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), player protests including NFL kneeling protests, sport and the media, security and the Super Bowl, and issues involving gender, race, or class inequality in sport.
